Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain excellent adhesion with respect to both of an inorg. base material and a paint film and to prevent the cracking of the paint film, in painting the inorg. base material of every kind such as a slate panel or a calcium silicate panely by applying specific aqueous paint to the surface of the inorg. base material.
CONSTITUTION: An aqueous paint composition containing a film forming components consisting of 10-30wt.% of an acrylic or methacrylic ester copolymer emulsion (1), 0.5-4wt.% of a bisphenol type epoxy emulsion resin (2), 10-80wt.% of a filler (3), 5-70wt.% of cement (4) and a polyamide resin or an aliphatic polyvalent amine curing agent whose amount is 0.8-1.2 equivalent of the epoxy emulsion resin and characterized by that the wt. ratio of [(1) + (2)]/(4) is 0.3-5.0, is prepared to be applied to the surface of an inorg. base material. An inorg. paint composition containing water-soluble silicate represented by general formula, M2O.nSiO2 (wherein M is Li, Na or K), as a binder is further applied thereon.
