Title:
METHOD FOR PARTIAL IMPREGNATION OF GRANULE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04163376
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain partial functionalizing and fluff binding effects by subjecting a fiber web layer to printing impregnation treatment with a treating solution composed of granules having a larger average grain diameter than interstices between fibers in the fiber web layer and a bonding resin and then partially arranging the granules in the web surface layer and the inner layer.

CONSTITUTION: A fiber web layer composed of a polyester, etc., is subjected to printing impregnation treatment once with a treating solution (preferably having ≤5000cP viscosity) composed of granules (e.g. beads) having a larger average grain diameter than the average interstice between fibers in the aforementioned fiber web layer and a resin, e.g. an acrylic resin for bonding the granules to partially arrange the granules in the web surface layer and the inner layer. The above-mentioned bonding resin is applied to the whole surface to afford partial functionalizing and fluff binding effects.
