Title:
METHOD FOR PATTERING ON CLOCKFACE BY PRESS WORKING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5770040
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To limit flow of materials, make uniform the thickness of the inner periphery of materials, and to reduce the load, by performing press workings, after forming a difference in level, a projections, or a channel at the outer periphery side of the patterned section of patterned metal mold for press working.

CONSTITUTION: In the process of cold or hot press workings, patterns are formed on the upper surface of a knock-out 3 and a difference in level 5 is formed on the upper surface of a die and the knock-out 3. The difference in level 5 is formed by fixing the upper surface of the knock-out 3 lower than the thickness of a material 4 for making a clockface and having a high malleability, such as brass, Al, etc. Moreover, a projection 6 is installed on the upper surface of a die 1 of the metal mold. A circular channel 7 is also disposed on the upper surface of the die 1 of the metal mold. Because of the difference in level 5, projection 5, or channel 7, the flow of the material 4 is limited and patterns can be formed and the load of the metal mold is reduced.
