Abstract:

To provide a method for efficiently erasing a pattern.

There is provided a method for peeling from the surface of a substrate a pattern formed by means of an image-forming device comprising an electronic duplicating means or the like and transferred on the surface of the substrate to be duplicated thereon. The method comprises a step of contacting at at least 50°C a stripping agent comprising a water-soluble organic solvent having a boiling point of at least 130°C with the pattern. Desirably, the organic solvent is at least one selected among N-methylpyrrolidone, diacetone alcohol, hexylene glycol, cyclohexanone, cyclohexanol, and respective and acetates of diacetone alcohol, hexylene glycol and cyclohexanol.
