PURPOSE: To form a transfer printing film with high adhesiveness, hardness and chemical resistance by using a photocurable material which is liq. at printing and is a printing film after printing and before photocuring and is photocured by photoirradiation after transfer.

CONSTITUTION: A water-soluble photocurable resin 2 and a solvent soln. of a photocurable resin 3 are applied on a base sheet 1 and are dried at a specified temp. to form a printing film. Then, after a cured film is formed by irradiating it by means of a high voltage mercury lamp, a peelable overcoat layer 4 is formed. As the above described photocurable resin, an acrylic copolymer contg. a ring-opened epoxy group added with an α-olefin carboxylic acid is pref. and the formed printing film can be transferred to the surface of an object to be transferred and in addition, is cured on the surface of the object to be transferred at ordinary temp. or a temp. close to it to exhibit high adhesiveness, hardness and chemical resistance. In addition, it is pref. that the above described acrylic copolymer is dissolved in a mixed solvent of butyl cellosolve and ethyl cellosolve and a specified amt. of an ultraviolet curing agent is incorporated.
