To provide a method of exhausting a tank which stores the contents of liquefied gas in a liquid condition in supply equipment after exhausted and contains gas vaporized by supplying vaporized nitrogen.
The gas residual contents exist in the tank in the vaporized condition and the residual contents are carried for direct or indirect heat exchange with cold nitrogen. The nitrogen is vaporized, heated and carried to the tank, while the residual gas is cooled, condensed and carried to a collector tank. This plant comprises a heat exchanging systems 4, 8 connected to the nitrogen supply equipment 2. In order to cause the vaporization and heating of the nitrogen to be carried to the tank so that the residual gas from the tank is condensed, it is connected to a collector container 3 for forcibly removing the residual gas from the tank to be exhausted and receiving the condensed residual gas through the heat exchanging systems.
