To provide an X-ray CT apparatus facilitating the positioning of a subject performed by an operator and surely reducing an exposed area of a subject by superimposedly displaying an image of an estimated X-ray exposure area planned in an X-ray imaging and the image of the subject; and a positioning method of the subject in the X-ray CT apparatus.
This X-ray CT apparatus includes: a first image generation section generating an image of a subject when being taken with a camera; a second image generation section that generates an image formed by combining estimated exposure areas when irradiating from positions of two or more rotation angles of the X-ray source excluding the predetermined rotation angle, to the subject at beam spread angles respectively, or an estimated exposure area of the X-ray when capturing the subject by an X-ray source; a third image generation section generating an image formed by superimposing the image of the estimated exposure area and the image of the subject; and a display control section displaying the superimposed image on a display section and, when a bed drive section receiving a command of the operation section, moves a bed top board, displaying the image of the subject moving according to the movement of the bed top board.
