Abstract:
To provide a method for predicting the change amount of a visceral fat area by intake of catechin.SOLUTION: The method for predicting the change amount of a visceral fat area by intake of catechin includes: an acquisition step of acquiring information (1) of blautia germs in intestinal bacterial flora of a subject or information of a blautia germ index group as the index of the information (1), and acquiring information (2) of ruminococcus germs in the intestinal bacterial flora of the subject or information of a ruminococcus germ index group as the index of the information (2); and a prediction step of predicting the change amount of the visceral fat area by intake of catechin by the subject from the quantitative relation between the information (1) and the information (2) acquired in the acquisition step on the basis of data indicative of the relation between the change amount of the visceral fat area by intake of catechin and the quantitative relation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
