Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time and cost by predicting the welding position before forming corresponding to the welding position of a product by the prescribed calculation algorithm using a computer.
SOLUTION: The initial data required for the press simulation of a blank 1 are set, and the initial welding position A is arbitrarily set. The plate forming simulation is performed, the deformed condition of the blank 1 is obtained, and the data of the welding position A' after calculation are obtained. The obtained data are compared with the preset required position B, and agreement within the prescribed permissible range is judged. In a case of disagreement, the intermediate position C is set. The positional data C' of the blank 1 before the calculation corresponding to the intermediate position C are obtained from the information on the simulated result, and the positional data C' are newly set as the welding position A to the blank 1 before pressing. The simulation is performed again on the re-set welding position A. The procedure is repeated until the welding position A' after the calculation is agreed with the required position B within the permissible range.
