Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain tertiary amine oxides having a low nitrosoamine content simply and economically, by reacting a tert. amine with a low content of prim. and sec. amine with an aqueous soln. of hydrogen peroxide.

CONSTITUTION: Such a tert. amine whose total content of prim. and sec. amines is not more than 0.05% by weight is reacted with an aqueous soln. of hydrogen peroxide to obtain the object compd.
