To provide a method of preparing a dehydration solvent that can remove moisture from a solvent for dehydration, in an easy handle manner and under a mild condition, by convenient operation and in a short time, and economically and efficiently.SOLUTION: A method of preparing a dehydration solvent including the steps in which a dispersion with alkali metal dispersed in a dispersion solvent is brought into contact with a solvent for dehydration, and moisture contained in the solvent for dehydration is removed, to prepare a dehydration solvent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
