To improve the lowness of reactivity of an oxygen-containing chlorobenzene compound to improve the length of the reaction time and the yield of the Gringard reagent in preparing the Grignard reagent with the use of an aromatic chloride, particularly an oxygen-containing chlorobenzene compound and magnesium.
Tetrahydropyran is used as a solvent in the step of preparing a Grignard reagent using an oxygen-containing chlorobenzene compound as a raw material.
