To provide a method for preparing a linear alkane at high efficiency by carrying out hydrogenation and a ring-opening reaction of a furfural derivative (HMF) in a supercritical carbon dioxide fluid.
The preparation method of the alkane includes steps of: carrying out aldol condensation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) and an acetone to obtain an aldol condensation product (I); and subjecting the aldol condensation product (I) to dehydration/hydrogenation using the supercritical carbon dioxide fluid as a reaction solvent so as to synthesize a semi-hydrogenated intermediate compound (II) or the ring-opened linear alkane. The linear alkane, which can be used as a petroleum alternative energy, can be synthesized with high conversion rate and high selectivity through an environmentally friendly, low-energy-consumption process from an important intermediate compound (HMF) having various application.
