To provide a product in which a characteristic of a photosensitive material in a fine particle or a material with a built-in photosensitive core/shell fine particle is controllable.
There is described an aqueous composition composed of an effective amount of at least one photosensitive material and at least one polymerizable component and adapted to form an at least partly photosensitive fine particle or an at least partly crosslinked photosensitive polymer fine particle. The photosensitive polymer fine particle is made of an integrated surface domain and an inner domain wherein at least one of the surface and/or the inner domains is photosensitive. There are also described the aqueous dispersion of the fine particle, a method for preparing the fine particle, and a photosensitive article such as an optical element in which the photosensitive polymer fine particles are built-in.
