Abstract:
To provide a method usable for producing an inhalable powder having high uniformity.
A method for preparing the inhalable powder is provided, wherein about N+m portions of a substance (excipient) having a wide particle size distribution and N portions of a substance (active substance) having a narrow particle size distribution are added as alternate layers into a suitable mixing vessel and, after all have been added, the 2N+m layers of the two components are mixed together by using a suitable mixer, wherein a portion of the substance having the large particle size is added first, and wherein N is an integer of 0, preferably 5 and m denotes 0 or 1.
