To provide a method and a device capable of optimizing treatment ability of a preparation device by adjusting the maximum number of revolution that a spinning bobbin is rotated at a thread end storage station to the actual state of the spinning bobbin when result is not seen in the attempt of the thread end storage.
In the method for preparing the spinning bobbin for the winding device, a thread end peeling off station and the thread end storage station are provided, and the thread end storage station has a sensor device. The sensor device 17 detects the number of revolution that the respective spinning bobbins 16 are rotated at the thread end storage station 12 until the sensor device 17 detects the success of the thread end storage, and feeds it to a control device 15. In the control device, an average value of the average number of revolution of the spinning bobbin 16 in the thread end storage station 12 is detected, and the maximum number of revolution when the following spinning bobbin 16 is rotated is set based on the average value in the state that the thread end storage is not performed at the thread end storage station 12.
