To provide a method for preparing a water-based, two-pack polyurethane coating composition capable of making a coating film having a high-quality external appearance including no agglomerate and the like.
The method for preparing a water-based, two-pack polyurethane coating composition which consists of (A) a main ingredient composition comprising as the main component a water dispersion of a polyol component and (B) a hardener composition comprising as the main component an emulsifiable polyisocyanate composition, is characterized in that the method comprises, when mixing (A) the main ingredient composition and (B) the hardener composition, first of all making (C) a hardener composition water dispersion in which (B) the hardener composition and water are mixed in a mass ratio of 3/97 to 65/35, and thereafter mixing (A) the main ingredient composition and (C) the hardener composition water dispersion.
