To improve the protection against moisture for the purpose of a photographic element by putting the photographic element into a container and putting a material contg. the blend of a polymer and molecular sieve particles into the container including this element.
The photographic element is put into the container. The material contg. the blend of the polymer and the molecular sieve particles is then put into the container in which this element is placed. Namely, this package insert holds the molecular sieve materials in the polymer and, therefore, has an advantage of preventing the dispersion of these materials into a fine material even in the event of the failure thereof. These materials have the advantage over desiccating agents of a type of magnesium sulfate and cobalt sulfate in that the molecular sieve materials do not form an acid by hydrolysis after absorbing moisture like the magnesium sulfate do. Further, these molecular sieve particles are effective in absorbing harmful gases, for example, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen peroxide, nitrite compd. and sulfur compd.
