Title:
METHOD FOR PREVENTING ADHESION OF SPLASH IN CONTINUOUS HOT DIP METAL COATING LINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3224208
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adhesion of splashes to a metallic strip pulled up in the perpendicular direction from a plating bath by inclining the blowing of the gases blown from a pair of wiping nozzles to the metallic strip at a specific angle upward with respect to the horizontal plane.
SOLUTION: After the metallic strip 1 is immersed into the plating bath 2 in a continuous hot dip metal coating line, the metallic strip is pulled up in nearly the perpendicular direction and the gases are blown from a pair of the wiping nozzles 3a, 3b to the metallic strip on the outlet side of the plating bath 2 by which the excess molten metal adhered to the front and rear surfaces of the metallic strip is wiped. At this time, the blowing of the gases from a pair of the wiping nozzles 3a, 3b is executed at an angle of inclination of 1 to 10° upward with the horizontal plane. As a result, the downward streams of the blowing gases are decreased and the generation of the bath surface splashes is suppressed, by which the product quality is stably improved.
