Abstract:
PURPOSE: To sharply extend a period of time before which the clogging of a filter cloth is caused and to prolong the service life of the filter cloth by continuously or intermittently giving showering to the filter cloth with filter plates being open from the time when the dehydration work of a dehydrator is finished after the filter cloth is washed with water to the time when the next work is started.
CONSTITUTION: A perforated pipe 7 having a lot of holes 6 is arranged above the traveling position of a filter cloth 1 and washing liquid, such as city water, is fed to flow from the holes 6 to cause showering. In this constitution, from the time when the dehydration work of a dehydrator is finished after the filter cloth 6 is washed with water to the time when the next work is started, the filter cloth 1 is continuously and intermittently given showering with filter plates being open. Consequently, the filter cloth 1 is more completely washed and the filter cloth 1 is not dried and further washing operation is continuously performed to the filter cloth 1. Therefore, a period o time before which the filter cloth 1 is clogged is markedly extended and the life of the filter cloth 1 is markedly prolonged.
