Title:
METHOD OF PREVENTING DIOXINS FROM BEING DISCHARGED
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3397089
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the discharged quantity of dioxins and also to prevent heavy metals from being eluted from collected ash when dioxin discharge preventives are added to dioxins-containing materials to prevent dioxins from being discharged by adding a heavy metal fixing agent to the dioxins-containing materials.
SOLUTION: In an incinerator such as a waste incineration furnace, during combustion, dioxin precursors such as organic compounds such as phenol and benzene, and chlorinated aromatic compounds such as chlorophenol and chlorobenzene are generated, and these precursors, if fly ash coexists with them, are converted into dioxin by its catalytic action, allowing the dioxin to be present in waste gas. Then one or two or more dioxin discharge preventives selected from the group consisting of amine compounds, ammonia, and ammonium salts are added to these dioxinscontaining materials to contrive preventing dioxins from being discharged. At this time, furthermore, a heavy metal fixing agent is added to the dioxins-containing materials.
