To provide a new method for preventing various pest damages in plant seeds or crops of agricultural plants.

There is provided the method for preventing the insect damages, characterized by applying an insecticidal composition containing a compound represented by general formula (1) or (5) (wherein: A1, A2, A3, A4 are each C, N or oxidized N; R1, R2 are each independently H, 1 to 4C alkyl, 1 to 4C alkylcarbonyl; G1, G2 are each independently O or S; X groups are identically or differently H, halogen, 1 to 3C alkyl, or trifluoromethyl) as an active ingredient to plant seeds or crops of agricultural plants.
