Abstract:
To provide a method for preventing oxidation of a carbonaceous member for an atmospheric furnace by which the oxidation of the carbonaceous member used in the atmospheric furnace is prevented so as to use the carbonaceous member in the high temperature atmosphere without any trouble and to provide the atmospheric furnace.
In the atmospheric furnace for performing heating treatment of a material to be heated in non-oxidizing atmosphere, the carbonaceous member used in the furnace is constituted of hollow bodies of carbon-made carbon roll 10, carbon heater 20, etc., having gas permeability, and into these hollow bodies, non-oxidized atmospheric gas at higher pressure than the atmospheric pressure in the furnace, is supplied.
