PURPOSE: To prevent ibuprofen from subliming from a solid preparation by preserving the solid preparation containing the ibuprofen and specific substance(s) in a closed system.
CONSTITUTION: (a) An ibuprofen-contg. solid preparation (referred to as (a) component) and (b) at least one kind of substance selected from polyvinylpyrrolidone, magnesium oxide and sodium bicarbonate (referred to as (b) component) are preserved in a closed system such as a closed bottle, plastic container or can. The component (a) can be obtained by conventional means in the form of tablets, granules, or powder by using ibuprofen and ingredients to be commonly used for manufacturing solid preparations. The amount of the (b) component to be used is 0.001-10 pts.wt. per pt.wt. of the ibuprofen. The (b) component may also be preserved with the component (a) either after packaged in e.g. medicine-wrapping paper with its powdered form left intact, or in the form of tablets after compressedly molded. Owing to the above method, the sublimed ibuprofen does not adhere to e.g. a film, and the commodity value of this preparation does not fall even if preserved in e.g. a bottle.
