Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a starch paste from degrading in properties by aging in its various use in the paper industry by compounding the paste with tamarind seed gum or pullulan. CONSTITUTION:Tamarind seed gum or pullulan is, if necessary, compounded with a surfactant known as an aging-preventive agent to give an additive for aging prevention, which is then compounded into a starch paste comprising a starch modified by an enzyme, oxidation, or heat in an amt. of the additive of 0.1-2wt.% based on the solid content of the paste.
