Title:
METHOD FOR PRINTING BY INK JET AND COMPOSITION FOR IT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3180619
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form clear ink dots with few featherings by using an aqueous ink.
CONSTITUTION: An aqueous ink composition containing a compound which is a water-soluble compound and has a property wherein when concentration of the water-soluble solution increases beyond the critical concentration being characteristic to the compound, the viscosity increasing ratio increases to result in gelation, is used. The ink droplets are rapidly gelated by increasing the concn. of a phase changing ingredient by utilizing permeation of water in the ink droplets jetted from a printer and stuck on the surface of a recording paper. One example of the phase changing ingredient is a block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide.
