PURPOSE: To obtain a method for printing on a crown cap with fast formation speed by making a metal plate with base coat applied into a desired crown cap shape, then-reacting upper coat for marking an indication on a top printing face with the base coat and performing contact printing.

CONSTITUTION: Upper coat 4 for marking an indication for a top printing face is applied to a crown cap with base coat 2 applied. Then the coat is hardened by applying ultraviolet rays by a machine which can generate ultraviolet rays such as an ultraviolet lamp or by applying high frequency generated by a high frequency generator. Since paint applying equipment of crown caps can print by a stamping method with a single crown cap, simple equipment will do, and printing can be speeded up since positioning is easy. In addition the crown cap is often shaped in roundness with the top slightly swollen, so that a stamping face with the upper coat applied may be in a structure along the roundness by forming it in a recess or forming it of a highly flexible material.
