Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing an abnormal state in an AM (acknowledge mode) transmission and an UM (unacknowledged mode) transmission.
SOLUTION: When receiving an AMD PDU (acknowledge mode data-packet data unit) or a UMD PDU (unacknowledged mode data-packet data unit) having a length indicator area having an invalid or reserved value, a receiving end nullifies the PDU and regards itself not to receive the PDU. When a report is required, the receiving end reports a reception state. According to this method, an unnecessary RLC (radio link control) reset step can be avoided, and the possibility of disabling the synchronization of a HFN (hyper frame number) can be reduced during transmission of the AM or UM data.
