To provide a cloth and a method for processing the same which is capable of expressing a decorating effect not conventionally available by paying an attention to defects on using broken off yarns.

The base texture 1 is constituted with a surface cloth 10 and lining cloth 11, and both of them are woven by a plain weaving and have a double texture by a follow weave. Between the surface cloth 10 and the reverse cloth 11, a multiple number of decorating yarn pieces 2 arranged in weft direction is dotted, and the part of the decorating yarn pieces is knotted in the form of dots and held/fixed to the surface cloth 10 and lining cloth 11. In some places among the decorating yarn pieces 2, a multiple number of knotted regions 12 obtained by knotting the surface cloth 10 with the lining cloth 11 are formed. The decorating yarn pieces 2 are formed by breaking off a multiple number of twisted yarns arranged in the weft direction by suitable lengths, and by breaking off the twisted yarns, fibers are untwisted and become loose and the length of the yarns is elongated so as to express a random form for each of the decorating yarn pieces.
