Abstract:

To provide a method for processing a film capable of manufacturing a processed film with high productivity, fineness, high quality reproducibility, and high uniformity.

A protruded part 12 in a protruded shape with or without a hole is formed on either whole or a selected surface on a film 10 in an indentation forming process. The indentation forming process is performed with an indenting device having an indentation former 104 and a transferor 106. The indentation former 104 comprises a plurality of granular projections 108 to form an indentation on a film 10 arranged between the indentation former 104 and the transferor 106. The granular projections 108 may be arranged solely in the corresponding area 140 in the indentation former 104 to form the protruded part 12 in the selected area on the film. Further, a template having a shape pattern may be arranged between the indentation former and the transferor.
