Abstract:

PURPOSE: To process and preserve bivalve mollusks especially such as oysters and clams.
CONSTITUTION: An opened container 4 is partially filled with water 28 from a natural medium or a medium breeding mollusks, and one living bivalve mollusk at least is put into water in the container so that the container can have a space 32 containing air. Then, air contained in the space is replaced with oxygen by a controlled valve 26 provided on the wall part of packing.
