PURPOSE: To provide the method for processing the silver halide photographic sensitive maternal improved in regard of problems on oxidation and concentration and the like of a processing solution and reduced in fluctuation of sensitivity and rise of fog in the case of reducing a replenishing amount for a developing solution low in pH and improved on deterioration of the developing solution containing no hydroquinone caused by oxidation.

CONSTITUTION: The exposed silver halide photographic sensitive maternal is processed by using an automatic developing machine and an opening rate of at least one of a developing bath and a fixing bath us ≤0.04 and the developing bath l contains the developing solution having a pH of ≤9.8 and processing is operated by replenishing a development replenishing solution in an amount of ≤250ml per 1m2 of the photosensitive material.
