Abstract:
PURPOSE: To rapidly process printed sheets by cutting the continuously printed webs into a plurality of individual sheets, and folding them by a folding machine to be simultaneously operated with the arrival of the cut sheets.
CONSTITUTION: Since the speed of a web discharged from a painting machine is higher than the speed to be handled by a sheet folding machine, the folding work is achieved synchronous with the arrival of the sheets at the sheet folding machine. When the sheet is thin, a web 2 from the printing machine and a drying device is passed to a former 190. The former 190 is triangular and when the paper is descended to a pair of guide rollers 192 from a roller 191, the paper is applied to a longitudinal fold. A throat part is formed between the guide rollers 192. The paper to be fed to a buckle folder 193 is once folding in the longitudinal direction, and causes no troubles in the folder 193. The web is cut by a cutter 194 at a part before entering the buckle folder 193.
