Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce 1,4-cyclohexane carboxylic acid dichloride in a production method that is safe and environmentally friendly without avoiding the excessive use of a chlorinating agent, a reaction solvent, and a catalyst.SOLUTION: This invention provides a method of producing 1,4-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid dichloride wherein, in the reaction of mixing 1,4-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid and thionyl chloride to generate 1,4-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid dichloride, the reaction liquid of a preceding batch is used to perform the reaction without any solvent.
