Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce transparent 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid dichloride suppressed in reduction of the ratio of a cis-form from cis-trans mixed 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid containing terephthalic acid.SOLUTION: A method for producing 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid dichloride includes (1) a step for reacting 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid containing terephthalic acid with thionyl chloride, (2) a step for dissolving terephthalic acid by removing formed acidic gas, (3) a step for adding thionyl chloride to cause a reaction, and (4) a step for removing the formed acidic gas and remaining thionyl chloride.
