Abstract:

To provide an industrially advantageous method for producing 2-oxabicyclo-[3,3,0]-1-octene compound.

A 2-oxabicyclo-[3,3,0]-octane compound represented by formula (1) (wherein, R1 to R10 are each independently hydrogen or a 1-20C alkyl group which may have a substituent; R11 is a 1-20C alkyl group which may have a substituent, a 2-20C alkenyl group which may have a substituent or a 6-20C aryl group which may have a substituent; and R12 is a hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent) is reacted in the presence of α-hydroxy esters and an acid catalyst.
