Abstract:
To provide a method for producing 4,4'-dicarboxy diphenylether and it's derivative which is industrially advantageous and unsatisfactory in the prior art.
A method for producing 4,4'-dicarboxy diphenylether in accordance with the invention is characterized by having a process which obtains 4,4'-diacetyl diphenylether by reacting diphenylether with an acetylateing reagent in the presence of transition metalic salt of floromethane sulfonic acid and alkaline perchloric salt and a process which oxidizes 4,4'-diacetyl diphenylether with alkaline hydrohalorite.
