The method for producing an acetophenone derivative comprises site-selectively reacting a halogenated aryl derivative having various types of substituents with a vinyl ether by the Heck reaction in the presence of a palladium catalyst, a ligand, particularly DPPP, a base, particularly sodium hydrogencarbonate, and a solvent, particularly methanol at a relatively high temperature around 150C and subjecting the obtained vinyl ether derivative to acid hydrolysis.
