Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for producing an adhesive which, while using sugar such as waste molasses that is a waste after purification, needs only a short time for curing and can provide high physical properties; and the adhesive.SOLUTION: The method for producing an adhesive comprises: a mixing step of mixing waste molasses and a carboxylic acid to obtain a mixture; a calcium salt formation step of forming a calcium salt by allowing the mixture to stand still; and a removal step of removing the calcium salt from the mixture. The adhesive comprises waste molasses and a carboxylic acid and, when the solid content of the waste molasses is set at 100 pts.mass, the content of calcium is 1 pt.mass or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
