Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an alicyclic oxygen-containing compound that can synthesize an alicyclic oxygen-containing compound in a one-stage reaction, having high yield.SOLUTION: A method for producing an alicyclic oxygen-containing compound includes bringing a carbon number of 5 or larger aliphatic oxygen-containing compound having two or more hydroxy groups or two or more carbonyl groups, or having a hydroxy group(s) and a carbonyl group(s) in a total of two or more, into contact with a basic catalyst for dehydration cyclization to produce an alicyclic oxygen-containing compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None
