Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing an alicyclic tetracarboxylic acid such as bicyclo[3.3.0]octane-2-exo-4-exo-6-endo-8-endo-tetracarboxylic acid having high productivity and high purity.SOLUTION: This invention provides a method of producing an alicyclic tetracarboxylic acid compound represented by the following formula [B], the method comprising the step of adding a compound represented by the following formula [A] to a potassium permanganate aqueous solution for a reaction, and then adding a flocculant thereto, before filtering waste manganese.
