Abstract:

To provide a method for producing an alkali cellulose having a uniform distribution of the alkali in the alkali cellulose in a good efficiency.

This alkali cellulose is continuously produced by bringing pulp into contact with alkali metal hydroxide solution continuously and then draining with a centrifugal separator, and cellulose ether is produced by etherifying the same.
