To provide a method for producing alkylene oxide-added saccharides with increased purity.SOLUTION: A method for producing alkylene oxide-added saccharides includes the steps of: mixing a product from a reaction between a saccharide and an alkylene oxide with a saturated hydrocarbon; and letting a mixture of the product and the saturated hydrocarbon stand for phase separation, removing the saturated hydrocarbon phase.SELECTED DRAWING: None
