Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of alloy particles of a rare earth element and a transition metal, which are substantially single crystals and have a TbCutype crystal phase.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of alloy particles of rare earth element and a transition metal is provided that includes a step (1) of preparing fine particles including iron (Fe), and a step (2) of performing a reduction diffusion reaction of a rare earth compound in a molten salt in the presence of a reducing agent and the fine particles, thereby alloying the rare earth element included in the rare earth compound and the fine particles, wherein the reducing agent is calcium metal (Ca) and/or calcium hydride (CaH), wherein the rare earth compound includes at least one selected from samarium (Sm) and neodymium (Nd) as a rare earth element, and wherein the molten salt includes a halide of an alkali metal and/or an alkaline earth metal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
