To provide a method for producing an aluminum alloy ingot in which the generation of a fir tree structure is stably suppressed, and to provide the aluminum alloy ingot and an aluminum alloy material.
The aluminum alloy ingot has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.03-2.5% Fe, ≤1.0% Si, ≤5.5% Mg, ≤0.5% Cu, ≤1.0% Mn, ≤0.35% Cr, 0.0005-0.05% Ca, 0.0005-0.1% Ti and 0.0001-0.02% B, and Al-Fe-based intermetallic compounds are crystallized in the ingot. The aluminum alloy ingot is produced through the steps of melting, molten metal holding and casting. In the molten metal bolding step, when Ca, Ti and B are added to the molten metal, at least either that the temperature of the molten metal on the addition is 675 to 740°C or that the time from the addition to the completion of casting is ≤160 min is satisfied.
