PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aluminum alloy sheet improving the piercing resistance of a can barrel to be made.SOLUTION: Upon production of an aluminum alloy sheet for a specified 3000 series DI can barrel, by controlling the soaking conditions and hot-rolling conditions of an ingot, the amount of coarse Mn based intermetallic compounds in the structure of the produced cold rolled sheet is controlled to the specified one or lower, and further, by securing the average solid solution amount of Mg by the specified one, even under the using environment where the internal pressure of the DI-molded can barrel is lower, its piercing resistance is made excellent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
