Abstract:
To provide a method of producing an aluminum-carbon composite material allowing for improving the adhesion between aluminum and a carbon material.SOLUTION: A method of producing an aluminum-carbon composite material comprises a plasma treatment step ST1 and a die casting step ST2. In the plasma treatment step ST1, a plurality of carbon materials W1 are plasma-treated to provide a hydrophilic group to each surface of the plurality of carbon materials W1. In the die casting step ST2, the plurality of carbon materials W10 to which the hydrophilic group is given are arranged within die-cast molds M1, M2, and die casting is carried out with predetermined pressure applied to molten aluminum within the die-cast molds M1, M2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
