To provide a method for producing an aluminum material for an electrolytic capacitor electrode having excellent etching properties where, in the production of an aluminum material for an electrolytic capacitor electrode in which heating in an oxidizing atmosphere is performed after the completion of cold rolling and before final annealing, the contents of included trace elements are suitably controlled, whereby a problem wherein the etching properties of the aluminum material after final annealing are insufficient is solved; and also to provide an aluminum material for an electrolytic capacitor electrode, an anode material for an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, a method for producing an anode material for an electrolytic capacitor, and an aluminum electrolytic capacitor.
In the production of this aluminum material for an electrolytic capacitor electrode, the content of Pb in the aluminum material is set to 0.3-2.5 ppm by mass, and the aluminum material after the completion of cold rolling and before final annealing is heated in an oxidizing atmosphere.
