To provide an aluminum phosphate-modified metal-supported crystalline silica aluminophosphate catalyst which is excellent in hydrothermal stability, can maintain high activity for a long period of time and is especially excellent in low temperature activity, and to provide a method for producing the same.
There is provided a method for producing an aluminum phosphate-modified metal-supported crystalline silica aluminophosphate catalyst, the method comprising the steps of: (a) preparing a dispersion liquid of metal-supported crystalline silica aluminophosphate particles; (b) mixing with an aluminum phosphate aqueous solution; (c) performing spray drying; and (d) performing heat treatment (baking) at 400 to 700°C in this order, wherein the content of aluminum phosphate in the aluminum phosphate-modified metal-supported crystalline silica aluminophosphate catalyst is in the range of 0.1 to 40 wt.% based on the metal-supported crystalline silica aluminophosphate particles when the aluminum phosphate is defined as Al2O3+P2O5.
