Abstract:
The ammonia manufacturing method according to the present invention is for producing ammonia from nitrogen molecules in the presence of a catalyst, a reducing agent, and a proton source. Examples of usable catalysts include molybdenum complexes such as [MoI3(PNP)] (PNP being 2,6-bis(di-tert-butylphosphinomethyl)pyridine). Samarium iodide (II) is used as the reducing agent, and an alcohol or water is used as the proton source.
